Semi flush crystal chandeliers exist because most restaurants do not have the ceiling height a pendant chandelier needs. A standard chandelier hanging 900mm below a 2.7 metre ceiling leaves the fixture at head height above a table, which crowds the room and makes the table feel enclosed. This semi flush version sits 380mm from the ceiling, keeping the decorative mass of a chandelier while holding a comfortable clearance over the seating. The trade off, and the engineering effort, is thermal: with the canopy close to the ceiling, heat and driver placement have to be managed properly, so the driver sits in a ventilated housing at the canopy edge rather than inside the decorative body. The crystal is dressed on a downward facing frame so the fixture reads from below, which is where every guest actually sees it in a low room.

Specified for restaurants with ceilings between 2.6 and 3.0 metres, hotel breakfast rooms, wine bars and private dining rooms where a hanging chandelier would intrude on the seating. The flush depth also suits corridor widths in hotels where pendants would obstruct movement, and retail hospitality areas built inside standard commercial ceiling heights.

We confirm ceiling height and table position, then recommend diameter and flush depth within the 380 to 450mm range. Options include a shorter 320mm version for very low rooms, a two tone finish, champagne crystal, and a version with an integral downlight aimed at the table where no separate spot circuit exists.

The fixture ships in a single carton with foam blocked arms and crystal in a labelled tray. A ceiling plate and anchor kit are included, with an assembly card showing the flush mounting sequence. Cartons are sized for service corridor access and can be stored back of house before installation.

Lead time is 18 to 26 days, with express production for restaurant openings. A six percent crystal allowance, replacement sleeves and a cleaning guide are supplied, and dimming compatibility notes cover common restaurant wall dimmers.
