Commercial Atrium LED Pendant Array Large Scale Mall Ceiling Lighting System Project

A commercial atrium LED pendant array takes the single feature fixture idea and multiplies it across a ceiling: fifteen, thirty or sixty pendant elements suspended in a planned grid that reads as one installation from the escalator and as individual elements from below. The value is in the planning. Elements are spaced against the structural grid, luminaire positions are coordinated with sprinklers and smoke detectors, and each element carries its own plug connection so the array can be commissioned in zones as ceiling sections are released. Decorative glass strand elements sit inside an LED ring, giving a consistent feature language while the ring delivers the working light. Zoned DALI control lets the operator run the full array during trading hours and a partial array during cleaning, which is where a large part of the electricity saving comes from.

Specified for mall atria, airport concourses, exhibition halls and large retail entrance halls where a ceiling needs a repeated feature element rather than a single chandelier. The zoned control suits buildings with different trading patterns across floors, and the per element plug design suits phased handover in large construction projects. Transport hubs and convention centres use the same element with a higher output ring where the ceiling height exceeds ten metres.

We work from the ceiling plan, structural grid and services model, then issue an array layout, zone schedule and photometric summary. Options include rectangular and radial array patterns, two element sizes in one array, higher output rings for tall ceilings, emergency battery elements, and a DMX interface for animated effects in event atria.

Elements ship in edge protected cartons grouped by zone, with strand elements coiled in labelled sleeves. Drivers and plugs travel in a labelled box per zone with a wiring diagram. An array layout drawing shows element numbering, rod lengths and plug positions, and each carton is marked with the zone and element range it contains.

Lead time is 28 to 40 days, with delivery staged by zone against the construction programme. Ring spares at two percent and strand spares at three percent are included, drivers are stocked for five years, and photometric reports are provided per production batch. Commissioning support is available for DALI zone addressing on the first handover.
